Michelle & Jon's DC Engagement Photos - Washington DC Engagement

I had a really great time photographing Michelle & Jon! Unfortunately I was super sick that day so I wasn’t feeling that great. But getting their engagement session scheduled kept getting pushed back and back and back and with their wedding coming up very soon I knew I had to suck it up and put in my best effort for this awesome couple. We were supposed to get started at sunrise, but unfortunately (fortunately for me as I got to rest a little more) it was raining pretty hard so we gave it a few hours and thankfully it stopped!

So we started at the Lincoln Memorial and took a lovely stroll along the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool and up to the Constitution Gardens. Unfortunately it was maintenance time for the pond, but fortunately not all the water had been drained yet so we were able to get some shots with the water in the pond (only in certain areas).

I believe the best shot I’ve ever taken during an engagement session was when Michelle & Jon’s son Timmy was photographing some birds with his iPad. He definitely made our photoshoot a lot more fun and entertaining. I’ll take any sort of smile I can get (haha).

Now, on to the wedding! See you guys then!
