Tara-Shea & Reggie's DC Event Photos - Washington DC Birthday Anniversary Event
I love photographing events! You have the most fun and capture some excellent moments when people are laughing and having a great time! Smiles come naturally and moments are beautifully captured and treasured for later.
For Tara-Shea & Reggie, I got to mix portrait shots with photojournalism. It’s a combination that I love to do. And I’m so happy I got to capture these two during such a memorable milestone. So this event was two part, it was part anniversary and part birthday celebration. Perfect combination! And gosh did they look incredible!
When I heard they reserved the The Loft at 600 F I knew this was going to be an incredible event! The venue was in a historic building that has incredible high ceilings with exposed brick. It has several floors with a chic lounge and formal conference tables that make it an amazing place to have any type of event and, for me, it was a perfect place to photograph these two amazing clients! And who would be more perfect to decorate this amazing space than Takisha Edwards from Blu Print 2 Events. Takisha, you were amazing and definitely one of the best I’ve ever worked with.
So Tara-Shea wanted some portraits done before the start of the event and so while the venue was being decorated we took a few shots where we could, which it was a little tight, but we definitely made it work. Once we got the portraits done I took some detail shots of the venue and did my best to capture Takisha’s hard work in the best way I could. I wanted to capture every small detail as quickly as I could because for one I was running out of time and two you could tell they thought about every little detail. As the event kicked off, guests started trickling in and before you knew it we had an excellent party going on! Oh it was amazing! They had an excellent photo booth, servers, a full service bar, and the most amazing looking buffet! It was such an incredible party!
Tara-Shea & Reggie, I loved this event! You guys did such an amazing job and I can’t tell you how lucky and fortunate I feel to have been given the chance to photograph this fantastic milestone in your guys’ life!
